Modern, Luxury, Italian Wedding Inspiration at Braxted Park
All of the inspiration for a modern, romantic wedding with an Italian feel. This gorgeous editorial at Braxted Park in Essex really did have it all!
Since attending this gorgeous workshop at Braxted Park in Essex I have been excited to share the images with you all. The mood board for the day was a combination of all my favourite things – soft textures and muted tones galore, high end styling and details, modern luxurious wedding gowns, super fun champagne towers and so much more!
Braxted Park in Essex is a breath-taking Wedding venue. Nestled in the Essex countryside the manor house offers a huge range of stunning backdrops for your wedding photos from the house itself, a secret walled garden, the orangery and a tree lined driveway! As a Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex Wedding photographer it was great to photograph this gorgeous venue.
Italian Wedding Table Decor
The orangery was set up with soft, romantic, cream draping created by the team at Boomting Bunting. A banqueting table adorned with neutral floral arrangements, touches of pink and olive branches to tie in the Italian wedding theme filled the end of the room. Alicia always creates incredible displays with her flowers and this was no exception. The décor on the table was minimalistic and modern with a combination of brass candle stands, ribbed glass wear and layering of soft neutral toned materials. As a modern, luxury wedding photographer it was a dream to capture this space and all of the details.
Luxury, Modern Wedding Dresses by Grace Loves Lace
In keeping with the modern, luxury, Italian vibes the 2 dresses that were worn by Elena were simply perfection. First up a full length satin gown (GOLDIE) with halter neckline and tie back details. Simple and understated but so elegant. Secondly another fitted gown with off the shoulder detailing and buttons along the back with a simple train (MILA) worn with a fringed veil from Sash and Veil.
Aperol Spritz Champagne Tower
Now we have all seen the Champagne tower trend (which of course I LOVE) but have you ever seen an Aperol Spritz tower? This set up was so gorgeous and gave all of the destination wedding inspiration you would ever need! Every destination wedding photographer will be excited to see more of these over the summer months!
Classic Car Wedding Photos
What better accessory to your wedding than a classic car? A practical option for traveling from the ceremony to reception if you are using 2 separate venues, and so fun for your couples photos! The classic Mercedes was hired from Retro Rides Norfolk.

A modern Suffolk Countryside Wedding at Tannington Hall
Take a peek at these beautiful images from Tannington Hall in Suffolk. A beautiful countryside wedding combining traditional church with a modern and stylish reception.
Alice and Kyles Suffolk countryside wedding combined a traditional church ceremony with a modern, relaxed reception perfectly. It was a pleasure to photograph these guys and all of their friends and family and provide them with a gallery full of emotive, fun and romantic shots telling their story!
The day started at Alice's mums house in Aldeburgh, Suffolk where Alice and her girls were getting ready. There were a lot of people, a few children, some animals and all of the excitement and nerves for the big day ahead. Despite all of this, everything was very relaxed and everybody really enjoyed themselves! Evelyn Jacks created a gorgeous relaxed up do for Alice which complemented her dress perfectly, and the lovely Make Up Artistry by Lily created a soft romantic bridal look. Alice wore a stunning embellished bridal gown from Pure Brides in Norwich, the detail on this dress was stunning!
Alice and Kyle had a traditional Church ceremony at Yoxford Church in Suffolk, the village in which the couple live. The church was spacious which allowed myself, assistant photographer Amanda Warman photography, and Dan Oaten Media space to move around and capture lots of different angles which was really lovely. As a storytelling photographer it is really important for me to capture reactions and emotions throughout a wedding day from not only the bride and groom but the guests too. The ceremony had tears, laughter and a whole lot of love!
After the church ceremony it was time to head to the stunning Tannington Hall which was just a short drive away. Guests gathered outside in the sunshine with welcome drinks waiting for Alice and Kyle to arrive. With guests and the bride and groom mingling it allowed time to capture lots of relaxed candid photos and all of the gorgeous details too, before we gathered the wedding party for some fun photos and then moved onto the formals.
The barn was set up beautifully with a neutral colour pallet and simple décor the space was modern and warm. After welcoming the bride and groom into the wedding breakfast there was quite possibly the longest speeches I have ever photographed, but these were accompanied by so much laughter!
Following on from the meal I snuck Alice and Kyle off around the ground of Tannington Hall to capture their couples photos. As a modern wedding photographer this is one of my favourite parts of the day. Tannington is a beautiful backdrop for natural, relaxed images and working with these guys it was a dream to capture!
Then it was party time! With a live band and drinks flowing I knew it would be a pretty epic dance floor, let me tell you the moves did not disappoint.

Top tips for the BEST confetti shot
Confetti is such an amazing part of a wedding day to capture for wedding photographers and such a beautiful moment for you and your new Mr/Mrs with all of the excitement and celebrations, but it dosent always go to plan! I have written a few tips here to help ensure you get the confetti photos that you dream of…
Okay, lets talk confetti! Again, this is one of my favourite moments to capture during a wedding day. You have just married your best friend and it’s time to head outside and walk through all your friends and family as they congratulate and celebrate you. It’s certainly one of the moments that brings huge smiles and genuine happiness on a wedding day, which as a storytelling wedding photographer I love to capture! However, , it’s a one take moment and cannot be recreated. (Pressure for us documentary wedding photographers!) So here I have some tips and tricks to NAIL that shot are create some incredible images.
The Confetti
So first up, the confetti that you are using – this is important and makes a HUGE difference! You should always check with your venue as to what confetti you are allowed, most venues do have restrictions on this and nearly everywhere is biodegradable or natural petals only. My absolute fav is the biodegradable paper such as Dollz Confetti It is so lightweight meaning that it falls in a really pretty way, staying the air for a little longer and making it more visible for the photos! You can get biodegradable paper confetti in so many different colours and even different shapes! Of course being a neutral loving romantic wedding photographer, I LOVE white circles or hearts! If your venue do not allow paper confetti, you can of course get natural dried petals, which too can be really pretty, but they definitely fall faster and have less impact, so if you are using natural petals, I would recommend getting bigger petals such as hydrangea or rose. And whatever type of confetti you guys choose, get LOADS of it. The more the better!
Walk this Way
Okay – this may sound simple but as a wedding photographer I have photographed a LOT of confetti lines and people have a habit of walking really quickly. So this tip is all about slowing it down! Enjoy that walk, soak up the attention and the love from your nearest and dearest. (Remember I will be walking backwards down the confetti line in front of you!) Another little tip for this one is try not to chat to your guests, talking is going to result in a mouthful of confetti, so as best as you can just try to smile sweetly at your guests and your partner and save all of the chatting for afterwards!
Dip Kiss
Who else loves the dramatic dip kiss in the middle of the confetti walk! I adore this shot and always encourage my couples to give this a go! (it is definitely worth practicing at home a few times!) but if this is a little too dramatic for you, just a simple kiss is still so beautiful and a great way to capture your love and excitement.

Modern, Relaxed Couples Portraits
Those of you that know my style already will know that I have a very relaxed approach to photographing my couples, a majority of my day is “documentary” style photographing your day as it unfolds, but I also love to capture beautiful couple’s photos which highlight the love and romance. I create these by offering relaxed prompts to my couples, no awkward posing, but guiding couples with ideas on movement creates stunning images like these. My biggest bit of advice for couples wanting romantic and emotive images like these is to trust your photographer!

Why You Should Book A Pre-Wedding Photoshoot
Pre Wedding Photoshoot at Southwold Beach in Suffolk. Why you should consider booking a pre wedding photoshoot if you haven’t already!
Wondering whether or not to book a pre-wedding shoot?
Some photographers include a Pre Wedding photoshoot within their wedding package and others (like me) have this as an optional extra. You can read all about my wedding package by clicking here - I know there is SO much to think about and organise in planning a wedding, but Pre Wedding Photoshoots can be SO helpful in preparation for you big day, you may want to consider adding one to your package if you haven't already done so! - I have written this blog post to give you a little more info on why this might be a good option for you!
Let’s Meet
Having a Pre Wedding Photoshoot can be the PERFECT reason for you to meet up with your photographer in person and get to know each other a little more and chat about your all exciting wedding plans. Nine times out of ten, pre wedding shoots are the first time I meet my clients face to face, normally prior to this it is all zoom calls/emails/messages, and as much as Zoom is amazing it just cannot replace a "proper" chat. You get much more of a feel for each other, which is so important for building the relationship between client/photographer, and having a better relationship will ultimately end in better photographs. (more about that below!)
Calm Those Nerves
Nearly everybody has a few jitters about having their photographs taken (even the most confident amongst us). Life is busy - when was the last time you and your fiancé made the time to have professional photographs together if ever? Its just not something that most people are used too, but that dosen't mean that it has to be scary!
Having a pre wedding photoshoot gives you a 'practice run' before your wedding day.
You have chosen a photographer that you love and who captures the style of images you want, but do you actually know how they achieve that look on your day? How do they guide/promt you to create their signature shots? How do they interact with you as a couple? All of these things will become clear during your pre wedding shoot, leaving you feeling more confident as you will absolutely know what to expect when you have your couples photographs on your wedding day!
Date Day
Planning a wedding is a BIG task. It can at times be pretty overwhelming and is certainly a busy time. Having a pre wedding shoot is the perfect excuse for a 'Date Day/Evening'.
During the shoot your photographer is going to encourage you to look at each other, hold hands, cuddle, all things that promote connection and emotion between you both so that this can be captured authentically instead of forced smiles and awkward poses! This also gives you both all the feels! Why not finish your shoot and head out for dinner and really make a date of it? Or bring a bottle of fizz along with you!
A Gallery Of Images
Of course one of the benefits of having a pre wedding photoshoot is having a gallery full of gorgeous images of you and your partner! Why not use these images on your wedding day... You could use them on your wedding invitations or as decorations at your venue.
Special Location
Why not visit a place that is special to both of you for your pre wedding photoshoot. Maybe a place that you love to visit, the place you got engaged or even your wedding venue. In Suffolk and Norfolk we really are so spoilt for choice with beautiful beaches, countryside and woodlands!

Chateau Rigaud Wedding Photography
Discover this Chateau Rigaud wedding photography gallery from Erin and Chandler's exquisite wedding in this blog post. For a luxury destination wedding venue in France, it would be hard to beat the stunning Chateau Rigaud.
An opportunity to head to France and photograph a destination wedding is something I just wouldn’t turn down. Jumping on a plane and heading to the beautiful Bordeaux region with my lovely friend Sharon Cudworth had been something I was looking forward to since the first conversation we had about it. As a natural light wedding photographer with a love for neutral tones and luxury weddings, Chateau Rigaud was a dream venue and it didn’t disappoint!
This exclusive use chateau is nestled within the vineyards about one hour from Bordeaux in the South of France and let me tell you it’s a complete show stopper! From the gorgeous French architecture to the huge amounts of private gardens including a pool, you wouldn’t be stuck for stunning backdrops for your destination wedding photos. If you are looking for a private venue to host your destination wedding, Chateau Rigaud is most definitely worth a look.
Erin and Chandlers Day
As the chateau is so large, there was of course adequate space for bridal prep and groom prep to happen without running the risk of seeing each other before the ceremony. Erin and her girls got ready in one of the upstairs bedrooms (with one of the most beautiful windows I have ever seen!), whilst Chandler and the guys got ready in a huge lounge. The father of the groom even had a quick swim in the private pool! The preparations were relaxed and fun and the incredible staff at the chateau were on hand for anything that the wedding party needed!
Of course, being a French destination wedding, the ceremony was outside. The set up was beautiful with white and green flowers at the end of the aisle. Erin and Chandler’s friends conducted the ceremony for them which was just so beautiful to observe and photograph, full of love, emotion and laughter.
Following the ceremony, we got the confetti shot and then the wedding party went to the back of the chateau for their drinks reception. The set up was beautiful with champagne, cocktails and fresh oysters and other nibbles for guests to enjoy.
The barn area was set up with incredible floral instillations by the talented Folies et Fleurs, luxury table wear and neutral stationary with hundreds of candles creating a warm, welcoming and beautiful space for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
As any destination wedding photographer would tell you, the light just hits differently at destination weddings and the golden hour sun didn’t let us down. We took Erin and Chandler for a relaxed walk through the grounds of Chateau Rigaud for their couples photos and it was simply stunning. Arriving back at the barn, Erin and Chandler had their first dance as the sun was setting, before enjoying an evening of live music by The Shuffles Band, lots of dancing and more champagne!
Are you looking to have your destination wedding in the South of France? If you love relaxed, modern and emotive images telling the story of your luxury wedding, do not hesitate to get in touch here, I would love to chat about your plans!

An Elegant Norfolk Wedding / Reymerston Hall
Take a peek at these beautiful images from Reymerston Hall in Norfolk for Gizelle and Louis whose wedding was the epitome of elegance and grace!
Gizelle and Louis’ beautiful Norfolk wedding perfectly combined a traditional church ceremony with modern and luxury wedding reception vibes! I loved everything about this wedding and couldn’t not share it with you all!
The day started at Gizelle’s parents home in Attleborough, Norfolk, and the preparations were full of absolutely everything you would expect from a group of girls fuelled by the excitement of the day ahead and a little Limoncello! Gizelle had the incredibly talented Emma B Beauty on make up duties for the morning and the lovely Rebecca Clark Hair created luxury, modern and beautiful Hollywood waves for Gizelle. Sassy’s Floral Design created a beautiful neutral bridal bouquet which again perfectly tide in to the neutral, luxury wedding.
Gizelle wore a beautiful Larissa by Maddison James dress from Adella Bridal. The wedding dress was modern, luxurious and completely perfect for the vibe of the day, traditional and minimalistic whilst also be completely show stopping with a high leg slit for a touch of fun!
Attleborough Church is a beautiful light, open and large space for a Norfolk wedding ceremony. The ceremony was full of love, laughter and happy tears, following the signing of the marriage certificate all of the guests headed outside for the confetti shot and I think it was my favourite confetti shot to date. Gizelle absolutely nailed a dip kiss and the image just screams pure happiness and excitement!
After the church ceremony it was time to head to the stunning Reymerston Hall managed by Unique Norfolk Weddings. You are guaranteed a team that really care and are able to plan the most epic wedding days. Guests gathered on the lawn/patio area for drinks reception and myself and second shooter Bethany Ellen Photo sneaked Gizelle and Louis off for some couples photos in front of the luxury Norfolk wedding venue.
The stable barn was set up beautifully with a neutral colour pallet and simple décor the space was modern and welcoming. Speeches didn’t disappoint with lots of laughter ending with another shot of Limoncello…
These guys had chosen such a great bunch of friends for their bridesmaids and groomsmen and I just knew we needed to capture some fun group photos, so we headed out for a quick five minute shoot in the grounds of Reymerston Hall. When I suggested Gizelle and Louis stand and kiss and everyone else runs around being a little wild I think they thought I had fully lost it, but the images are SO fun and really show the personality of the group. This is something that I think is so important. As a storytelling wedding photographer, its so important to have meaning, personality and a whole lot of emotion within the images that I capture!
Well what can I say, I knew these guys were going to party hard in the evening celebrations, but I didn’t know that would start during the first dance. Gizelle and Louis celebrated in style together and created the most electric atmosphere for all involved in the wedding. The dance floor was full all evening!
If you are planning a modern Norfolk wedding and like relaxed photographs which tell the story of your day, send me a note here, I’d love to chat!
