Nicole & James | Marylebone Town Hall Wedding There’s something very special about a London wedding. The beautiful architecture, black cabs, busy streets and that unmistakable energy of the city make the most incredible backdrop — and Nicole and James’ Marylebone Town Hall wedding had all of it. The day began at Claridge’s, where Nicole got ready before travelling across London by black cab to Marylebone Town Hall. Guests were already gathering on the steps as she arrived, setting the tone for a relaxed, intimate celebration right in the heart of the city. A Marylebone Town Hall Wedding Following their ceremony, everyone gathered on Marylebone Town Hall’s iconic steps for confetti before we made the most of the beautiful architecture surrounding the building for a few relaxed couple portraits. The grand stone archways and columns are one of the reasons I love photographing weddings at Marylebone Town Hall. You don’t need to disappear for hours or turn your wedding day into a photoshoot — there are incredible backdrops quite literally outside the door. From there, the celebrations moved across London in suitably brilliant fashion: on a London bus. I travelled with Nicole, James and their guests, and it was such a fun part of the day. Everyone could relax, have a drink and enjoy the journey together — and naturally, we couldn’t let an iconic red London bus leave without stealing it for a few photographs first. Drinks, Dinner & a London Party The bus took us to Coin Laundry, where the pub had been completely transformed for the celebration. The afternoon spilled out onto the streets for drinks before everyone headed downstairs for the evening party. It was relaxed, stylish and full of personality — exactly the kind of wedding that works so brilliantly in London. From getting ready at Claridge’s and arriving by black cab to confetti on the steps of Marylebone Town Hall, travelling through the city together and finishing with a brilliant pub party, Nicole and James created a wedding that felt completely their own. And that’s what I love about London weddings. You can take some of the most iconic locations in the city, throw out the traditional wedding-day rulebook and create something incredibly stylish while still keeping the whole day relaxed, fun and centred around the people you love.
